This is one of the best books I have ever read! Catherine Ryan Hyde fantastically captures the relationship between a teenager, Sarah, and her prized horse...a horse the girl's father has sold, leaving Sarah heartbroken. Sarah knows a secret about the death of her mother that puts she and family friend, Faith, on the run. Ryan Hyde is a pro at instilling conflict into this story that will make the reader avidly root for characters they have grown to love.
