***GIVEAWAY*** and Review of Courage Between Love and Death by Joseph Pillitteri

Courage Between Love and DeathCourage Between Love and Death by Joseph Pillitteri
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Courage Between Love and Death by Joseph Pillitteri chronicles nurse Elspeth’s employment at a hospital in New York in the early 1900’s. Relationships between doctors and nurses are not permitted, but of course that only sweetens the pot for these players! Things get more serious when President McKinley becomes a patient after an attempted assassination. This book was well written but did not draw me as wholeheartedly into the plot as I would’ve liked. I did find the medical aspects fascinating as this book deals with surgical procedures utilized in the early 1900’s, and their devastating effects. This read also deals with the controversial issue of abortion in those times.
